EU Minimum Wages, First Half of 2024

Eurostat published minimum wage figures for the first half of 2024. In January 2024 the gross minimum wage in Türkiye stood at 613 euros per month.

The highest gross monthly minimum wage in Europe was in Luxembourg at 2,571 euros, followed by Ireland (2,146 euros), the Netherlands (2,070 euros) and Germany (2,054 euros). At the other end of the scale, Albania had the lowest at 385 euros, followed by Bulgaria (477 euros), Montenegro (533 euros) and Serbia (544 euros). Türkiye had the fifth lowest figure in the comparison.

These are January 2024 values from Eurostat (dataset tps00155). Minimum wages are revised at least once a year and exchange rate movements shift any euro-denominated comparison, so the ranking should be read as a snapshot of that date rather than a current position.
